The following are videos from the journey that I either didn’t have time to upload or didn’t know what to do with. They’re from all over the country. Click on anything that strikes your fancy.
Advice from a Bartender (San Fran)
This guy was a little scary at first, but turned out to be hilarious.
Sunday Swing Dancing
Every Sunday swing dancers gather in Golden Gate Park to tap their feet, twirl around, and enjoy life. I dance like an old man, but did pop in for one number.
(Check out my big-time move at the 00:09 mark - oh!!!!!!!)
Mail-in Art Project
I met a cool carpenter/artist named Teggart in Seattle. He told me about a project he participated in at the Ouch My Eye gallery. Aspire to this level of creativity!
(Note: my camera ran out of battery at the end of this vid.)
Advice from the NRA
These guys rocked.
I came across a gun show while passing through Houston. I wish I had video of the second guy (on the left). Our conversation went something like this:
Me: “So wait, when you shoot an intruder, your intent is not to kill him?”
Him: “No.”
Me: “So what do you do? Aim for the leg?”
Him: “No. You shoot the guy in the chest…and hope he doesn’t die.”
All in all, very nice guys, very serious about gun safety.
