Morning Memory: The Beach

In advance of The 10,000 Strangers Campaign, we will be posting a new postcard memory every morning.  All of the postcards in this 30-card series were created by 4th and 5th graders at Horace Mann Elementary School in Cherry Hill, New Jersey in response to the simple prompt "tell a story you don't want to be forgotten."  Imagine the archive we'll have when these stories start arriving from all over America, and from all generations.

Each of your memories is a short SCENE, made up of thousands of micro sense details.  Our brain is a super powerful Storytelling Machine that organizes and re-organizes these scenes into a story.  That story is YOU.  Your identity.  Who you are.  Because you have an identity, you’re able to CONNECT, which allows you to GROW and thus create new memories...and the whole process repeats.
